Selection 2 boulder 2011

No second lizard in the finals for the 2011 boulder championships.
Bad tactics not enough strength and bad mental preparation were more than enough to make me miss one of the 4 spots for the finals.
Amazing boulders a good atmosphere :D not at all like it used to be back in 2006!
The boulders were even nicer than in Hasselt(pbm) maybe a little bit to hard especially for the girls. The winning girl only topped 4 of the 12 boulders???
After an amazing start of 6 boulders first go i got shut down on number 7, instead of going to the roof problems i kept going on the technical stuff...
after sending my 7th boulder i knew i was close for a spot in the finals so i decided to go for bonus holds.... very stupid because the system of counting is very different on this comp.
The bonus holds only count in an event of a tie. In this format the amount of tops count then they count the attempts and only after that they count the bonus holds.
So again we learned something. Every comp you do make sure you know the format!! :D
In the last half an hour i got so close on boulder number 4 (see pic 2), where i was just to pumped to stick that final hold for 8 boulders and a place in the finals.
Congrats to all who made it to the finals, the strong new kids on the block and to marius !! go veterans go
