The Big Five

The weather looked awful for saturday, thats why we left late on Saturday morning.
So we didnt have to hang around in the rain all day.
We arrived at cuvier around two in the afternoon where we found Steven, jonas and yannick stretched out sleeping on their crashpads surrounded by
a bunch of sweaty boulders.
Everything was wet wet wet (no not the band jones). So we decided to go look down south hoping it would be dryer there...
Here we met Nico and his friends looking for dry rock as well.
But it was in vain. We decided to play volleyball and frisbee until eisbar killed the ball. We slept near Elephant and wished for better weather on Sunday.




We woke up early and it looked quite grim.
Cuvier rempart is always the best option in this kind of weather.
The road was still wet after an entire night of no rain!!
To my surprise Rempart was quite dry and sticky. We warmed up and me and yannick wanted to see "echoes" opened by jan gorrebeeck who coulndt be with us due to work and injury.
This problem is a great addition to the forest! 7b+ with a dyno and nice balance move in the end.
Yannick and me made quick work of it and decided to do the right exit of this one as dessert."Atmosphere" is also graded 7b+ but slightly easier for me.
Then it was time for nat to try a classic "festin de pierre" 7a.
Nat known for her long warming up sessions (not), sent it like a pro in a few tries!!
Steven Geerinckx sent it a few tries later.
Me and yannick stayed around for the sit start to this problem which is quite technical and involved a lot of tries to find the right beta.
I could finally tick it but i think it is 7c not 7b+ (for whom ever cares)
We moved on to sector duroxmanie where we played around on the different versions and yannick sent Duroxmanie sit and direct version.
Then we decided to go look on rempart. I felt the holds of "atresie" and on my first try i already passed the crux.? And after 2 more tries i just did it!!
Amazing to send the last of the big five!! It took me like 6 years to do them...

So the weekend turned out to be nice after all!!
