The whole month of january we were off for some Thai route climbing. Tonsai is one of the most beautifull places for route climbing in the world including the best scenery and ease of access anywhere.
Imagine climbing next to the sea on amazing limestone tufas next to the beach and a clipstick away from a fresh coconut shake.
The only downsides are the 35° sun in the day and Thai garbadge disposal system.
I sent my main project Jungle Lord (8b) aka Cara Congresso quite fast. After that i started trying Ant Jump (8b+) but this one always opened up my skin so i decided to switch to some other climbs.
First up was Tantrum (8a+), aka "THE BEST CLIMB IN TONSAI".
It starts with a dyno jump to a jugg into a yaniro and then onto a campus traverse and after traversing a slopey "font" ledge you pump out on juggs.
After getting the famous Tonsai belly, i lost some weight and sent it!
Nat sent her project Tiger queen (7b) very fast and sent an awesome classic called Tonsai Playboy (7b).
We finished the trip sending some more nice roofy climbs.
All in all this was an amazing trip meeting up with friends, climbing and relaxing.
My body now feels rested and ready to get into bouldering mode.
